It's really awesome being supported in many different ways while I create my artwork. I feel really grateful to be gifted these wonderful things by some of my favourite brands. Here's a look at my favourites from this month!
But first - here’s a little insight: I politely decline around 90% of offers I am presented with. I get contacted almost 100 times a day, some being brands/companies that would like to send me things. I am careful to only agree to products/brands that I enjoy/align with, so that my audience only experiences what is authentic. Every brand or item I speak about about is something I'm already using before-hand or I am genuinely interested and curious about. So here we go!
I have worn chucks since before I can remember, 5 years old at least. I have a lovely ongoing relationship with Converse and they kindly sent two pairs of shoes to my studio! Such a nice surprise. Keep your eyes peeled for our upcoming collaboration! fortyonehundred x Converse

One of the many amazing parts of being an ambassador for lululemon is wearing their beautiful clothing. I am really into patterns (...obviously!) and when they revealed these tights (pictured above) I knew they had to be mine!! Keep your eyes peeled for our upcoming event collaboration! fortyonehundred x lululemon

As well as preparing all of the artwork and logistics for my exhibition opening, I also wanted to feel great for the event too. There's a salon Petone, Wellington called LaVilla and I've admired their instagram for a while, they do incredible work! A few days before my exhibition opened I had a really relaxing few hours in LaVilla and they totally transformed my hair. I had quite a particular request - I wanted natural roots so that it would grow out seamlessly (low maintenance is my jam!), and no yellow tones, but also super blonde and super long. I had an awesome experience. Highly recommend - they exceeded my expectations! Keep an eye out as I will be painting a massive mandala mural at LaVilla in the coming month!

DoTERRA kindly sent me a huge parcel of goodies. They make essential oils, with no fillers or additives, it's pretty cool what they do. They sent me a diffuser which I've always wanted to try, plus a whole selection of oils. I was a bit sceptical of oils to tell you the truth, but curious - and I have really enjoyed this experience. Especially with how full on the exhibition has been, I've come home each night and diffused lemon + peppermint + lavender to feel fresh and calm. Smells so good and makes you feel really relaxed. It's hard to explain..try it :) I've also added a drop of the lemon oil to my water every-morning, and added different oils to my washing to make my clothes and bedding smell good. Little things like this really help my overall mood.

When UberEats approached me I was pretty thrilled! I use their service a lot and so it was well aligned for me to post about them... as it's what I do anyway! Having dinner delivered to the studio when it's super late and I'm on a productive roll is such a treat. To the gallery too - proper nutrition is so important when you're on the go. (Plus... I can't cook at all :) Does boiling ravioli & making toast count?)
